MTD proudly supplied its services for the first time at the Farnborough International Airshow 2022, one of the world’s premier events for the aerospace and defense industry, attracting 80,000 visitors and over 1,500 exhibitors from 96 countries.

From July 18th to the 22nd, 2022, the Farnborough Airshow reconnected industry leaders, exhibitors, and visitors on a global platform. MTD UK provided:
Installation of temporary water infrastructures for toilets, bathrooms, and kitchens in exhibitor chalets
Water connections for over 30 outside exhibitors and catering facilities
Multiple dishwashers, water heaters, sinks, vending machines, and coffee machines integrated into the temporary system
Safe drinking water available at Phil water refill stations spread throughout the venue

The event organizers requested MTD’s expertise to set up and manage the temporary water infrastructure across the vast airshow grounds. This included providing water connections for exhibitor chalets where guests were hosted, as well as outside catering facilities and various exhibitor setups. The organizers also required water refill stations to be installed, ensuring visitors had access to safe drinking water throughout the event.
Challenges
Coordinating the setup and installation of a temporary water network at an event of this scale, with over 1,500 exhibitors and multiple catering facilities, presented logistical challenges. Ensuring that all areas, including exhibitor chalets and outdoor setups, had a reliable and consistent water supply was essential. Additionally, integrating various equipment such as dishwashers, vending machines, and water heaters into the system required precise planning and on-site expertise.
