Rethinking water solutions with the UN

Copenhagen, March 13th, 2025 This week, our CEO Hans Verhoeven and CCO Monique Verhoeven attended the International Procurement Seminar at the United Nations Procurement HQ in Copenhagen. Together with other Dutch, Irish, and UK companies, we explored how we can work together and contribute to the global missions of the 43 UN organizations.

Currently, equipment is always purchased by UN organizations for each project and left in the country afterward, which most of the time creates more waste locally. That’s why we introduced a more sustainable and flexible alternative: Water as a Service.

With MTD’s Availability Program (MAP), organizations can access temporary water solutions when and where they need them, scaling up or down as required, without unnecessary waste or high purchase costs. MTD Water has the organization to deploy infrastructure and water treatment units for emergency camps immediately, all over the world.

We had some very inspiring and insightful conversations in Copenhagen and are happy to hear that there are already UN organizations interested in receiving more information about MTD’s Water as a Service.

A special thank you to all delegates from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) for organizing these UN Procurement days, for us and the 40+ other Dutch attending companies, and thank you to the UN officers in Copenhagen for hosting these passionate companies this week.
