In March 2022, MTD France delivered a fully insulated temporary water infrastructure for Tomorrowland Winter in Alpe d’Huez, France, bringing water solutions to one of the world’s most unique winter festivals.
MTD ensured a seamless water supply for the Tomorrowland Winter event, which featured:
The organizers of Tomorrowland Winter tasked MTD France with designing and implementing an insulated water infrastructure that could withstand the extreme temperatures of Alpe d’Huez. This included connecting water to public sanitary facilities, kitchens, bars, and food stalls across the festival grounds. MTD was also asked to ensure that water flow remained uninterrupted throughout the event, despite the challenging mountain environment.
Operating at high altitudes in the French Alps presented significant logistical and environmental challenges. Ensuring reliable water supply under freezing conditions required specialized equipment, including pre-insulated pipes and heat-traced pumps. MTD had to adapt its setup to the rugged terrain and extreme weather, which demanded precise planning and technical expertise to guarantee the smooth operation of the temporary infrastructure throughout the event.
MTD successfully provided a robust and insulated water system that operated flawlessly across all areas of the Tomorrowland Winter festival. By using advanced heat-traced technology and insulated piping, MTD ensured that all facilities, from public toilets to food concessions, had uninterrupted access to water, regardless of the freezing temperatures. This achievement marked MTD’s successful return to Tomorrowland Winter after the COVID-19 interruptions, showcasing our expertise in delivering reliable and adaptable water solutions in extreme conditions.
