Temporary facilities for Perryville High School after tornado

On March 14, 2025, Perryville High School in Perryville, MO was struck by a tornado and severely damaged, leaving the facilities unusable.
Flex TC was tasked with building a temporary school for displaced students. MTD partnered with Flex TC to provide restroom facilities and plumbing solutions, ensuring students could return to learning as quickly as possible.

Installed equipment

  • 12x non-A/C Brick Restrooms and temporary water infrastructure
  • 2x Brick Restrooms at Science Expo2x Expo
  • 5x Brick Restrooms at Learning Expo (2 positions)
  • 2x 2,100 Gallon Wastewater Tanks for Learning Expo2x Expo
  • 1x 1,500 Gallon Wastewater Tank for Science Expo1x Expo

Challenges
  • Urgent need to restore hygiene and sanitation for students and staff.

  • Installation of non-A/C brick restroom units.
  • Installation of flexible duct hoses with inline fans to vent gases safely.
  • Implementation of macerating pumps (U2) to transfer wastewater into large holding tanks.
  • Use of spill berms as safety measures.
  • Option for insulated and heat-traced plumbing for all-weather use.
