In 1987, MTD completed its very first project: professionally installing a temporary water supply for an exhibition. That small step planted the seed for a big idea. Over the years, demand for reliable temporary water infrastructure grew, and MTD met that demand with passion and innovation.
By 2002, MTD had its first international client, paving the way for greater opportunities. In 2006, Hans Verhoeven joined as managing director, ushering in a new era of growth and ambition.
We completed our first international projects in the mid-nineties. The projects in the Netherlands were getting continually more significant and required a more professional approach. Through the passionate commitment of our MTD staff, the number of events has increased significantly since 2000. Following the acquisition in 2006, MTD dared to operate worldwide and further developed other products and market segments.
MTD’s expansion into international markets began in earnest in 2009 with the opening of our first overseas office in Canada. This marked the start of a global presence that would span four continents, made visible in the timeline below. This global network allows MTD to deliver solutions wherever they’re needed, ensuring that innovation and sustainability remain at the heart of our operations.
Today, MTD continues to deliver innovative and sustainable water solutions for industries, events, and disaster relief worldwide. Whether it’s supplying water for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, helping communities recover from natural disasters, or setting up semi-permanent water infrastructures, MTD leads with passion and expertise.
From our headquarters in Tilburg, the Netherlands, to every corner of the globe, we remain committed to safe water, sustainability, and building a healthier future for the planet.
